The Supreme Court (SC) has warned the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to go ahead and rethink stance on disclosures under the right to information (RTI) act. SC said, this is a last chance for the RBI to go ahead and disclose details on bank inspection sought by activists. Activists Girish Mittal and SC Agrawal had moved the SC alleging contempt of court by the RBI and Urjit Patel for non-disclosure of information under the RTI. R Gandhi, former deputy governor and Sandeep Parekh of Finsec Law Advisors shared their views and outlook.
