Contaminated plastic waste is being imported into the country in shipment containers under false declaration and the government is determined to have exporters of such waste to take it back.

Energy, Science, Technology, Environment and Climate Change Minister Yeo Bee Yin said a two-week investigation found that contaminated plastics were smuggled into Malaysia.
