More reports of Kremlin confirming that a Pyeongyang-Moscow summit will happen before the end of the month.
According to several news outlets the event could take place in Vladivostok, possibly on April 25th.
Lee Ji-won has the latest.
The North Korea-Russia summit will be held around April 25th.
That's according to NHK, citing an unnamed senior official at the Kremlin.
The Japanese broadcaster added that the leaders will meet at an international conference center in Vladivostok.
This follows the Kremlin's confirmation on Thursday,... where it said that North Korean leader Kim Jong-un will be visiting Russia later this month at the invitation of President Vladimir Putin.
However, there were no further details,.. including dates or the venue.
NHK's report goes in line with what other Japanese media have reported.
According to Japan's Kyodo News,... citing unidentified sources,... the North Korean leader plans to make a three-day visit to Russia beginning next Wednesday,... which would be the 24th.
The report said that Kim will hold his summit with Putin on Russky Island,.. an island close to Vladivostok,... to which Kim is expected to travel by train.
Russian media have also reported the far east Russian city would be the likely venue... citing some restrictions being imposed at facilities in the city.
Such speculation also comes as Putin is set to fly to Beijing for a forum on China's "One Belt One Road" initiative on April 26th and 27th.
