The U.S. government says it's aware of North Korea's recent report that demanded the removal of Secretary of State Mike Pompeo from their nuclear negotiations,... saying Washington remains ready to engage Pyeongyang in constructive talks.
Voice of America reported Thursday that a U.S. State Department official made the remark in response to their question on the matter.
On Thursday, the state-run Korean Central News Agency published the statement from its foreign ministry's director-general in charge of North American affairs.
It heavily criticized Pompeo for misinterpreting Kim Jong-un's recent message on giving the U.S. until the end of the year to change its stance,... adding Pompeo always ruins things when the process is panning out fine.
