The finance minister's political secretary Tony Pua has hit back at economist Kelvin Tay for allegedly sharing extremely negative views on Malaysia based on 'wrong facts and outright bias'.

Tony said he shook his head in disbelief when he watched Kelvin's interview on Bloomberg.

Tony said Malaysia has always prided itself as an economy with a current account surplus, with the value of exports well exceeding imports being one of the country’s key strengths.
