Extinction Rebellion activists carried away by police on second day of protests in London
  • 5 years ago
Police continue to arrest Extinction Rebellion protesters as reports say over 200 have already been arrested during the two-day protest.

In the video, police officers carry a protester as fellow activists walk alongside shouting "Love you!” today (April 16).

Footage also shows police in the evening carrying a protester as journalists walk alongside interviewing the arrested activist.

As the night continues further arrests are made and at one point the DJ on a sound systems orders police to "Take it easy" as they extract another protester by his arms and legs as if carrying a large sack of potatoes.
