Police have arrested two men over an incident in Rantau, Negeri Sembilan which saw a group of political supporters illegally stop and conduct a search of a police patrol car.

Acting state police chief Mohamad Mat Yusop said the suspects - a 52-year-old car salesman from Seremban and a 36-year-old lorry driver from Rantau -- were nabbed this afternoon.

Both of them were picked up at their respective homes and had been identified as ordinary members of a political party, according to Mohamad.
