Inside Karnataka's Tumkur: HD Deve Gowda takes on GS Basavaraj

On to CNBC-TV18’s special series Election Caravan which rolls into Karnataka now. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is contesting against the Janata Dal (Secular) as known as JDS-Congress combine and Tumkur will be a very interesting battle to watch. After some infighting over the seat between JDS and Congress, former Prime Minister (PM) HD Deve Gowda is taking on GS Basavaraj. While caste has been a dominant theme in elections here, this time water scarcity is also one of the top electoral issues.
