Are About to Increase The price hikes will go into effect the
next time bills are sent to subscribers. Netflix is making the move as it shifts
towards producing more original content. The standard subscription will go up from $11 to $13 a month. For those with a premium plan,
it will increase from $14 to $16. Netflix is also set to soon face
heavy competition in the
streaming department. Later in 2019, Disney will release
its own service, Disney+. A streamer from Apple, called TV+,
was also revealed this month. As of now, there's
no premiere date for it.
