Prayas Ray Barman become the youngest player to make his Indian Premier League (IPL) debut when he was named in the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) playing XI for their away match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Sunday.Prayas Ray Barman is 16 years and 157 days old. Afghanistan's mystery spinner Mujeeb Ur Rahman had held the record previously. He had made his IPL debut for Kings XI Punjab in IPL 2018 when he was 17 years and 11 days old.

रॉयल चैलेंजर्स बैंगलोर (आरसीबी) के कप्तान विराट कोहली ने आईपीएल 2019 में सनराइजर्स हैदरबाद के खिलाफ रविवार को खेले जा रहे मैच में टॉस जीतकर पहले गेंदबाजी का फैसला किया। इस मैच के लिए आरसीबी ने अपनी टीम में एक और हैदराबाद ने दो बदलाव किए हैं। आरसीबी ने इस मैच में 16 साल के खिलाड़ी को डेब्यू का मौका दिया है।वहीं आरसीबी ने इस मैच के लिए अपनी प्लेइंग इलेवन में नवदीप सैनी की जगह 16 वर्षीय स्पिनर प्रयास राय बर्मन को उतारा है, जो आईपीएल में उनका डेब्यू मैच है। इसके साथ ही बंगाल के स्पिनर प्रयास आईपीएल इतिहास में डेब्यू करने वाले सबसे युवा खिलाड़ी बन गए हैं।
