President Trump on Tuesday suggested that the Obama White House may have been behind the Mueller probe.
President Trump on Tuesday floated the idea that the Obama White House may have been behind special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation. When speaking to reporters, he said that the plot against him "went very high up." "It started fairly low but with instructions from the high up. This should never happen to a president again," Trump continued. When asked if he thinks "it reached the West Wing of the Obama White House," Trump stated, "I don't want to say that, but I think you know the answer."
The comments came just before Trump declared that Mueller's report "could not have been better. It said 'no obstruction, no collusion.' It could not have been better." According to Attorney General William Barr's report summary, that's not what Mueller said.
"Mueller found no proof that President Donald Trump criminally colluded with Russia and reached no conclusion about whether Trump obstructed justice," reports NBC News.
