Belgium promises support for peace process on Korean Peninsula

King Philippe of Belgium has pledged to continue supporting South Korea's efforts to establish peace on the Korean Peninsula.
President Moon Jae-in met with King Philippe earlier Tuesday,... to review the progress made on their relations since they first established ties back in 1901.
This is the first time for a European monarch to visit Korea since President Moon took office,... and the first visit by a Belgian king in 27 years.
Based on Belgium's experience of playing a crucial role in integrating the European Union,... the Korean president asked for the country's constructive role as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council.
