Pronab Sen on PC Mohanan warns against politicisation of data

PC Mohanan, who resigned as the acting chairman of the National Statistical Commission (NSC) has warned against using statistical data as a political tool. Mohanan, along with one other NSC member had quit in protest against the centre's decision to withhold an important jobs report. He has now written to CNBC-TV18 on questions raised by economists on statistical data. Pronab Sen, former chief statistician of India shared his views and outlook.
