Good morning, I am Lee Jee-hyun with the latest weather update. It was a chilly weekend for most of the country, and the brief cold snap that started last Friday will ease from this afternoon, and we will have much more bearable temperatures on Tuesday. The temperature roller coaster is common around this time of the year in Korea.
In fact, temperature differences between the morning and the afternoon will be wide with over 10 degrees for most areas, Gyeongju and Bonghwa in Gangwon-do Provinces could have a 16 degrees Celsius temperature gap so dress accordingly.
Those of us in the upper parts of the country will have to deal with toxic smog, the further south you are... the better air quality you will enjoy. A dry weather advisory is in place for eastern parts of the country,... including Ulsan, Busan and Daegu.
Shifting gears to today's temperatures, we have a chilly morning so dress in layers on your way out. Daily lows in Seoul at 3 degrees, Daejeon and Gyeongju chillier at 1 degree Celsius. Mostly sunny skies on tap to start the final week of March.
Daily highs will be 3 to 4 degrees higher than Sunday, Seoul getting up to 14 degrees, southern provinces will see milder daily highs than those of us in Seoul. Busan and Jeju topping out at 15 degrees.
As for the outlook, higher than average temperatures in store this week, light showers are in store for the first half of the week, though it's getting cooler as we head into the end of the week.
That's Korea for you and here's the international weather for viewers around the world.
