Gyeongsangnam-do Province Governor Kim Kyoung-soo is due to appear in court in the coming hours for his first appeal hearing.
It comes 48 days since he was sentenced to two years in prison for online opinion-rigging operations ahead of the 2017 presidential election.
Kim is also expected to request bail,... based on grounds that he's an incumbent governor and that he poses no flight risk and will not destroy evidence.
