UNSC grants sanctions waiver to allow inter-Korean family reunions via video conference calls

The UN Security Council has granted a sanctions waiver... allowing family members separated during the Korean War to hold reunions... using video conference calls.
A foreign ministry source told Arirang TV on Saturday... that the UN Security Council had approved South Korea's request to send a range of equipment needed for the video connection, including cameras, to the North.
All 15 members of the council reportedly gave the green light,... including the U.S.,... which is also working on exemptions to unilateral sanctions... in support of this effort.
This is in line... with promises made by the two Koreas during their third summit in Pyeongyang to resume family reunions.
