The cars of tomorrow are on display this week in Geneva, but tomorrow's not soon enough for the EU, which in December decreed a hastening of better fuel mileage and a cut in carbon emissions. But manufacturers warn new standards are unrealistic, with some braced for a rocky 2019 due to the phasing out of diesel.
