India is waiting with bated breath as Supreme Court to hear curative petition demanding decriminalisation of gay sex in India.

But before the apex court announces its decision Madras High Court has set the tone asking shouldn't LGBTs be accorded a special or different legal status and be recognized as a separate group for safeguard of their rights including right of privacy.
