16 December Gangrape Case: Nirbhaya's parents to protest at India Gate at 1 PM

DCW Chairperson Swati Maliwal moved the Supreme Court past midnight in a last ditch effort to try and stall the release of the juvenile convict in Nirbhaya case. The vacation of the Supreme Court agreed to hear the petition but refused to stay the release of the Juvenile. The DCW petition listed 10 grounds on why the juvenile cannot be released at this juncture and contended he was still a danger to the society. The apex court is set to hear the matter on Monday.

He was the most brutal of them all and he is set to walk free today. The juvenile convict in the Nirbhaya Case would be a free man only because of the loopholes in the legal system in place. The juvenile rapist has already been taken to an undisclosed location for security reasons. However the Delhi High Court has put him under the supervision of a management committee for upto 2 years.
