Nation At 9: Chennai residents await help and rescue but their MPs are missing

Chennai is still reeling under the worst floods in over 100 years and even though rescue and relief continues. The one consistent feature displayed in the entire saga that is being played out in Chennai and stay consistent because every disaster anywhere in this country displays the same characteristics. Is the absence of elected representatives on the ground, amidst those who elected them. Among those who need their support, guidance and help to steer them, condole them and be their pillars of support during the worst crisis of their lifetime. But most Tamil Nadu MPs are in Delhi, Now scrambling as pressure builds. We spoke to these MPs but all we got were excuses.
