City set to host 1st ‘car-free’ event, CM Arvind Kejriwal to be part of it

The national capital is set to host its first “car-free day” on Thursday with chief minister Arvind Kejriwal, his deputy Manish Sisodia and other Cabinet ministers slated to take part in the event that aims to encourage people to use public transport. Transport minister Gopal Rai, who initiated the “car-free day” to be held between Red Fort and Bhagwan Das Road, said that under the Ab Bus Karein campaign, the AAP government will organise similar events on the 22nd day of every month.
