Hours after the Uttar Pradesh's top cop approached Home Ministry for seeking security cover. The Uttar Pradesh government has sent him his suspension order. This comes a few days after an audio tape was released in which SP Chief Mulayam Singh Yadav was purportedly heard issuing threats to the IPS Officer. Thakur has alleged that Mulayam has been trying to coerce him. While the Uttar Pradesh government denied that it was Mulayam's voice in the tape, a rape case was lodged against the officer a day later. Thakur has again alleged that the case is fictitious and a way of Uttar Pradesh government getting back at him.
