Retired IPS Amitabh Thakur, who has announced to contest the election against Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, has been stopped by the police from going to Gorakhpur. Amitabh Thakur has claimed that the police has taken him into custody at his house in Gomti Nagar. They can be arrested. Police say no arrests were made. They have only been stopped from going to Gorakhpur.

उत्तर प्रदेश (Uttar Pradesh) के मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ (CM Yogi Adityanath) के खिलाफ चुनाव लड़ने का ऐलान करने वाले चर्चित रिटायर आईपीएस अमिताभ ठाकुर (Amitabh Thakur) को पुलिस (UP Police) ने गोरखपुर जाने से रोक दिया है. अमिताभ ठाकुर ने दावा किया है कि पुलिस ने उन्हें गोमती नगर में उनके घर में हिरासत में ले लिया है. पुलिस का कहना है कि गिरफ्तारी नहीं की गई। उन्हें केवल गोरखपुर जाने से रोका गया है।
