Nation At 9: Pak agents act with impunity, burn 4 more schools in J&K
  • 5 years ago
If we learn nothing from our past, we're condemned to repeat it. That's the epiphanous warning of a Spanish philosopher. There are those among us, who hate us and our way of life, sponsored by our enemies, who want the future to be swamped by the tragedies of the past.

Education links our children to all that is best and lasting in India. That's what Gandhi said. These people want to ensure that that doesn't happen.

For 3 months they've kept schools closed in Kashmir. Over the last 24 hours, 4 more have been burnt to the ground, that's right burnt to the ground, bringing the grand total up to 24.

In 1 voice all political sides have condemned this. But no one has lifted a finger. Someone comes with flammable material, lights a building on fire. Presumably that takes some time to do. and escapes, not a trace. 24 times, not a trace? Today the J&K High Court has said enough is enough ordering the govt to save schools.

We've been telling you about it, debating it for the past 10 days, so why nothing? Why are agents of our enemies being allowed to endanger our future? Who will save these thousands of kids?
