#JayaInCrisis: Jayalalithaa disproportionate assets case verdict today

A special court in Bangalore will pronounce its verdict today on Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa’s role in a disproportionate assets case. The case has taken 18 years to reach a verdict.
Jayalalithaa, under Z plus security, will travel to the special court at Bangalore Central Jail to hear the verdict at 11 am. Thousands of All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazagham party members and supporters have already arrived in the city and gathered outside the court.
The case has lasted 18 years, through five Lok Sabha elections and three Tamil Nadu assembly elections. Jayalalithaa has been granted about 150 adjournments, and five different special court judges have presided over the case.
