Controversial Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Yogi Adityanath was in for yet another trouble on Wednesday when Lucknow district administration denied permission to his scheduled public rally in support of the local BJP candidate Ashutosh Tandon (Gopal) in the state capital.
Administration did not allow the politician to address the rally citing that it would lead to law and order situation considering Samajwadi Party (SP) and Congress also having scheduled rallies at the same venue.
“As a precautionary measure, we have called the permission of all the three party candidates to hold the rallies at Munshi Pulia area,” said Shrihari Pratap Shahi, additional district magistrate (West).
Shahi said SP’s Juhie Singh, Congress’s Ramesh Srivastava also wanted to hold a rally on the same venue-Sabzi Mandi, which prompted him to deny permission. Singh, Srivastava nad Tandon are in fray for Lucknow East seat on September 13 bypoll.
