Arvind Kejriwal: Won't take back corruption allegations
  • 5 years ago
Former Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal will face charges in the defamation suit filed against him by BJP leader Nitin Gadkari after the AAP chief refused to withdraw the allegations levelled by him against the latter.

Both Kejriwal and Gadkari today appeared in the court of Metropolitan Magistrate Gomati Manocha in connection with the case. During the proceedings, the court advised the two leaders to settle the matter amicably. Gadkari offered to withdraw the defamation case filed by him against Kejriwal on the condition that he withdraw all charges of corruption made by him.

However, Kejriwal flatly refused to withdraw the serious nature of charges made by him against the BJP leader.

The court then said that charges will be framed against the AAP leader in connection with the case
