MoD appoints RK Dhowan as Navy Chief
The Ministry of Defence has finally decided to appointment a new navy chief after D K Joshi resigned from his post in the face of accidents involving frontline warships in January this year. Now, Vice Admiral R K Dhowan, who was the current Vice Chief, will take over the position after a 50 day suspense since February 26.

Sources say that the decision superseded Vice Admiral Shekhar Sinha who should have ideally succeeded Joshi. Inside sources believe that Sinha may resign now as he may have to face working under a junior service officer.
