Chidambaram's son gets Lok Sabha ticket

Adding to the list of reluctant senior members who are not willing to fight the upcoming Lok Sabha polls on Congress ticket, Union Minister P Chidambaram opted out of the fray while making way for his son Karthi Chidambaram.

Congress nominated Karthi from Sivaganga constituency in Tamil Nadu and gave him ticket to fight from his father's seat from where the Union Minister used to fight elections earlier.

Soon after the announcement was made by the Congress party in its fourth list of candidates for the Lok Sabha polls, Karthi told the reporters that he is honoured with the party's decision.
