The rift inside the Samajwadi Party is once again out in the open. With Mulayam Singh Yadav announcing the list of candidates for Uttar Pradesh Elections in absence of son Akhilesh Yadav, has deepened the fissures inside the Samajwadi party.
Mulayam Singh announced candidates for 325 out of 403 seats yesterday. Ignoring his son’s objections to certain names, and ruled out alliance with any party for the upcoming polls. He didn't even name the incumbent as party's CM face. Surprisingly, the list carries names of Sigbatullah Ansari, who is the brother of jailed gangster.
Mukhtar Ansari and Atiq Ahmed who faces over 40 criminal cases including of murder and attempt to murder. Fumed over snub in ticket distribution, UP chief minister Akhilesh Yadav is meeting MLAs in Lucknow, mostly those, who had been denied ticket or whose name is on hold, are attending this meet. While the chasm between MSY-Akhilesh has further intensified? Will it be a gaining point for the BJP and BSP in the upcoming up elections?
