News X: Supreme Court initiates contempt proceedings against General VK Singh over age row

New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Monday took suo-moto cognizance over the alleged contemptuous remarks that former Army Chief General VK Singh made against the apex court on September 22 in connection with his age row case in a report that was published in 'The Indian Express'.
The General had made certain comments in the report attacking the SC saying that the court had not gone into the merits of the arguments that he had given on the issue during the proceedings.
