Muzaffarnagar in Uttar pradesh continues to be on the edge. 4 BJP MLAs and a congress leader are among the 40 people booked for inciting mobs in the district, where at least 26 people have died and over 40 injured in communal violence over the weekend.

According to UP police, 90 people have been arrested so far. The Army has been conducting flag marches in several areas since Sunday. Thousands of anti-riot police personnel have been deployed to restore calm and order. 10 thousand provincial armed constabulary personnel have also been deployed along with over 2000 CRPF and Rapid Action Force jawans.
