Former government official critical, daughter dies of poisoning

A 36-year-old woman, the daughter of a retired government official living in Ghaziabad, allegedly died of poisoning while her 72-year-old father was rushed to hospital by neighbours in a critical state on Monday afternoon. Police said the elderly man, Keshri Lal Deval, had called neighbours for help, and told them he had administered a poison to Anuradha - his daughter who was reportedly suffering from a psychological disorder - and then taken it himself.
