News X: VHP ayodhya yatra clamped down by UP

Amid high drama and beefed-up security, the Uttar Pradesh administration on Sunday clamped down on the Vishwa Hindu Parishad's padhyatra for a Ram Temple in Ayodhya, with the arrests of key organization leaders, including Pravin Togadia, for defying prohibitary orders. Mr. Togadia, VHP international working president, was arrested near the Sadguru temple on the banks of the Saryu amid a posse of officials, mediapersons and supporters as he attempted to initiated the yatra.
