NewsX: Breather for RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav in the Fodder scam. Supreme Court has agreed in principle with Lalu Prasad Yadav to transfer the trial of the fodder scam to another judge in Ranchi.
Lalu Prasad had alleged that the trial judge was the relative of P K Sahi the education minister in Nitish Kumar's cabinet. He had termed the education minister as his 'biggest political enemy'. The next hearing of the case has been posted to August 6, when the transfer of the trial will be shifted to a new bench.
The case relates to the alleged fraudulent withdrawal of almost 38 crore rupees from the Chaibasa Treasury in 1990s during Lalu Prasad's regime in Bihar.
