National Herald Case: Court directs Sonia and Rahul Gandhi to appear on Dec. 19

A Delhi court on Tuesday exempted Congress president Sonia Gandhi and vice-president Rahul Gandhi from personal appearance for a day and asked them to appear before it on December 19 in the 'National Herald' cheating and misappropriation case. Senior advocates Abhishek Manu Singhvi appeared for the Congress leaders and moved a plea seeking exemption from personal appearance for their clients for Tuesday alone. Mr. Singhvi also assured the court that the two leaders were willing to appear before the court.
