BJP executive meet: Jaswant, Shatrughan absent

NewsX: BJP's national executive meet is beginning in Goa today and the creme de la creme of the BJP leadership is expected to attend. Gujarat CM Narendra Modi, has already arrived in Panaji, the state capital. The meet is to see over 300 office-bearers who will huddle together to strategically chart out a course for the 2014 Lok Sabha election. Leaders like Ravi Shankar Prasad and Varun Gandhi had already been granted leave on account of personal reasons. But it is the absence of other prominent senior leaders that is fodder for political gossip. Prominent names like LK Advani seems to have suddenly taken ill, and the meet will also miss faces like Jaswant Singh and Uma Bharti, Shatrughan Sinha.
