Lanka issue: 5 DMK ministers submit resignation to PM

End of the road for the UPA-DMK alliance. All five DMK ministers submit their resignations to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, the three junior ministers went first. Cabinet Minister Alagiri and MoS Social Justice and Empowerment D. Napoleon gave their resignations later owing to delay in arriving at Delhi. All resignations have been accepted, UPA managers meanwhile swinging into damage control mode.
