Though the Sri Lanka issue has entered the realm of politics, the Ministry of External Affairs says India would finalise its stand after examining the final draft of the U.S. piloted resolution. According to a External Affairs Ministry spokesperson the resolution in its final form was to be available late last evening, Geneva time. Foreign Secretary Ranjan Mathai has reportedly asked India's Permanent Representative to the U.N. Dilip Sinha to come over to Delhi on Tuesday. India's Permanent Representative will be able to brief senior officials of the govt on the ground realities in Geneva and latest position on that. The Govt says the call will only be taken subsequent to the availability of a resolution and arrival of the Ambassador in Delhi for consultation with the senior official in the MEA.
