Till yesterday... the Indian government was talking of waiving Mancini's diplomatic immunity but now MEA sources tell NewsX that the government is in a bind on the issue as the Italian envoy's immunity is absolute. Govt is in fact mulling declaring Mancini persona non grata and giving him the marching orders. External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid will present the government's stand on the issue to the supreme court on Monday.
