Afzal Guru hanged in jail no.3 of Tihar jail

Parliament attack convict Mohamammed Afzal Guru was hanged this morning at 8 AM in jail no.3 of Tihar jail. The family of Guru was informed about the decision of the Government that his mercy petition was rejected. The process of hanging Guru, who was sentenced to death in 2004, was completed by 8 AM. Guru was convicted of conspiracy in the December 2001 attack on Parliament and was sentenced to death by the Supreme Court in 2004.
