Parliament attack convict Mohamammed Afzal Guru was hanged this morning at 8 AM in jail no.3 of Tihar jail. The family of Guru was informed about the decision of the Government that his mercy petition was rejected. The process of hanging Guru, who was sentenced to death in 2004, was completed by 8 AM. Congress leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi said, that pure and consistent application of law is beneficial for the country and this decision shows the stand of Congress party.
