Andar Ki Baat: CM for Mumbai still undecided but Wankhede Stadium is ready

The Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP's) state unit chief, Devendra Fadnavis, is almost certain to be the next chief minister of Maharashtra, after the party emerged the single-largest in the state. The decision seemed clearer on Thursday, after Fadnavis met Union transport minister Nitin Gadkari, who was also being seen as a contender for the CM’s post.While Fadanvis said the meeting was to greet his mentor on Diwali, Gadkari was more forthcoming. “I am happy in Delhi. Devendra’s father Gangadhar Fadanvis was my political guru. I was instrumental in getting Devendra into politics. We have no differences,” said Gadkari, putting to rest all speculations of any competition between the two for the CM’s post.
According to BJP sources, the central leadership was miffed with the ‘show of strength’ put up by party legislators who were backing Gadkari.
Meanwhile, the atmosphere in the Shiv Sena camp was tense, as the party is still waiting to hear from the BJP on the number of ministerial berths they are likely to get in return for their support to the government.
The BJP has won 122 of the 288 seats in the state, while the Sena has won 63. The 25-year-old alliance between the two parties fell apart ahead of the elections following differences over the sharing of seats
