Gulberg society case: SC stays final order on SIT report

Supreme court has stayed final order on closure report of the Gulbarg Society case. SC had issued notice to Gujarat government on Zakia Jafri's plea asking for all documents in SIT report. Zakia jafri, widow of slain MP Ehsan Jafri had filed a petition seeking investigation into Gulbarg and nine major cases of Gujarat. Supreme court had appointed Special Investigation under chairmanship of R K Raghvan. SIT submitted its closer report in february 2012 as per supreme court order of september 2011.About 69 people including Jafri were torched to death by a mob on 28 February, 2002, a day after Sabarmati express was burnt in Godhra.
