Aarey Case: SC Stays Felling of Trees, Orders Release of Activists

A special bench, constituted by the Supreme Court on Monday, 7 October, stayed the cutting of trees in Aarey Colony until further orders. It also asked the Maharashtra government to release all activists arrested in the case and maintain status quo until the next hearing on 21 October.
