Power crisis in state: Jaya writes to PM - NewsX

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa, has written to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh seeking allocation of entire power generated from the Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant to be allocated to the state. In a letter to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, the Chief Minister said that Tamil Nadu has been undergoing a severe power crisis of a magnitude unprecedented in recent memory. She said that there is a gap of 4,000 megawatts between the demand and the supply of power.
