Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa has hit out at the Centre for concealing the training given to two Sri Lankan officers in Tamil Nadu since May. Jayalalithaa recalling her vehement opposition to such training earlier in a strongly worded letter to the Prime Minister, accused the Centre of showing "excessive enthusiasm" in training Lankan Defence personnel and demanded that they be sent back. She said and I quote "It is very clear that this fact of ongoing training since May 2012 has been mischievously concealed from my Government, showing scant regard for the views of Government as well as for the sentiments of the people of Tamil Nadu". As per the letter, the two Sri Lankan personnel in the rank of Major in Army and captain in Navy respectively are undergoing a 11 month training at Defence Services Staff college at Wellington from May 19.
