Punjab: SAD leader thrashes cop - NewsX

In Punjab, the arrogance of Akali Dal leaders was on display once again with a SAD youth front leader assaulting Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG), Ludhiana, S S Mand. The suspect is a hotel owner Sunny Johar who is also the Senior Vice President of Youth Akali Dal. AIG Mand was injured when he intervened after his NRI friend Paramjit Singh, was allegedly attacked. The police have filed a case under various sections of the IPC, including attempt to murder against Sunny Johar.
