Gujarat polls: Modi poised for 3rd term - NewsX

While the Exit Polls say that a landslide victory for Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi is beyond question, the verdict in Himachal is supposed to be a close affair. Gujarat registered its highest ever voter turnout of 71.3 per cent, surpassing the previous high of 64.70 per cent recorded in the 1995 elections. The election will decide if Chief Minister Narendra Modi will do a hat-trick for the BJP. The high voter turnout has perplexed political parties, who are finding it difficult to predict the outcome even as exit polls indicated a comfortable win for BJP.
