Pak violates ceasefire again, targets 3 Indian posts

Pakistani rangers on Tuesday targeted three Indian posts and violated ceasefire along the line of control in the Poonch sector of Jammu and Kashmir.

The Pakistani troops started firing at 11 am at Shahpur post.

Last month, the Ministry of External affairs had informed that Indian Foreign Secretary Sujatha Singh had spoken to her Pakistani counterpart while asking that ceasefire violations must be stopped at international borders.

“Foreign Secretary Sujatha Singh spoke to her Pakistani counterpart and raised the issue of ceasefire violations along the LoC with Pak Foreign Secretary,” the MEA had said.

In the third week of July, two infiltration bids by suspected militants from across the Indo-Pak border in Jammu and Kashmir had been foiled by security personnel with one intruder being killed and a jawan losing his life in armed exchanges.
